Glamour‘s first-ever Full-On Fashion Issue has arrived. The September issue features fashion on every single page, and also introduces its first-ever guest editor….Victoria Beckham. Victoria worked closely with Glamour‘s Cindi Leive to create this special issue, and you can see her mark everywhere.

She also opens up to Glamour about her work, her marriage, how she reinvented her life…and why she’d never say never to having another baby. Glamour’s September issue will be available on newsstands nationwide and digitally (iPad, Kindle Fire and Barnes & Noble Nook Color) on August 7.

And check out Victoria’s Twitter feed, @victoriabeckham. She is releasing an exclusive never before seen photo from her cover shoot and the below behind-the-scenes video about the making of the September issue (#makingsept) via Twitter.

Here is a preview of what Victoria shared with Glamourhttp://glmr.me/MZlhTa

Victoria on guest editing the September issue…

·      It’s been exciting for me to see my ideas come to life, from type colors to photo selection to casting. I even made my own list of Glamour fashion Don’ts to keep out of the issue: boat shoes (unless of course you’re designer Alber Elbaz or on a boat!), Bermuda shorts, nose rings, Crocs, and American tan tights (that’s nude pantyhose to you).

On why she is never seen smiling…

·      Do you know, I don’t know?! I actually used to smile a lot in pictures. I think I only stopped smiling when I got into fashion. [Laughs.] Fashion stole my smile! I’ve created this person. And I’m not saying that’s not me, but I wouldn’t say that’s the whole me…. It’s an armor that goes up.”

On reading 50 Shades of Grey…

·      I’m halfway through the second one. I even bought my mum the book! But every time she tries to engage in conversation about it, I kind of dodge the subject. I don’t really want to talk to my mother about S&M.”

On her husband, David, coming to see her fashion show in New York this past season…

·      It was the first time! He’s always been working or training. But I was nervous about this show. I was feeling a lot of pressure. He phoned me the night before, and I just said, “I want you to come be with me. I want a cuddle. I really do.” And it was great to have him there. I think he was surprised; I don’t usually bother him with much detail. And then you get there, and the models, the hair, the makeup…I think he was blown away!”

On where she sees herself and her family in 5 years…

·      I’d like everybody to be healthy and happy. I’d like to be growing the business at a steady pace, and to be making more women feel empowered, beautiful, and confident. And I’d never say never about another baby. It’s a juggling act—a career, family, a husband who’s busy. But I’d never say never!”

Fashion/Photo Credits: Photographed by Pamela Hanson in Beverly Hills, Victoria Beckham wears a Stephen Russell platinum, diamond, and sapphire tiara and Martin Katz diamond and white gold bracelet on the cover. In her bonus cover look seen inside, Victoria wears a Lover top, Dolce & Gabbana bra and briefs, Victoria Beckham belt, and Harry Winston bracelet. Poised at her desk, she wears a Victoria Beckham dress.

The former Dancing With the Stars darling’s career is moving fast with one of the hottest movie of the summer, Rock of Ages, in theaters June 15th. Now, Julianne Hough shows off her “glam rock” look, talks to Glamour about Ryan Seacrest, Tom Cruise, and triumphing over her past. Glamour’s June issue is available on newsstands and digitally (iPad, Kindle Fire and Barnes & Noble Nook Color) nationwide on June 12th.

Here’s where Glamour has integrated music and social into their July issue: they teamed up with Spotify to incorporate playlists throughout the magazine, glamour.com and on the iPad edition. The playlists have been handpicked by their editors, a celebrity trainer and even cover star, Julianne Hough. Spotify represents the “Hear It” portion of their “Five Senses of Summer” issue and will serve as the soundtrack to the issue…more importantly, Glamour is the first woman’s magazine to fully integrate Spotify across all of its platforms — pretty awesome! To dance along to Julianne’s Rock of Ages themed playlist, click here:http://www.glamour.com/spotify

Want the cover look? Photographed by Ellen von Unwerth in New York City, Julianne Hough appears on Glamour’s July cover wearing a Zadig & Voltaire jacket and shorts, an Arizona tank, Fallon earrings, a Pomellato necklace, Lynn Ban bangles, a Jessie Lane bracelet and a Loree Rodkin ring. Inside the issue, Julianne hits the stage in a Dolce & Gabbana bodysuit, a Kevork Kiledjian jacket, Fallon earrings, Loree Rodkin and Jacqueline Nerguizian rings, Lynn Ban bangles, a Jessie Lane bracelet and Brian Atwood pumps; she ‘rocks on’ wearing an OMO Norma Kamali bra top, Pierre Balmain pants, Wilfredo Rosado earrings, Lynn Ban and Melinda Maria bangles, Loree Rodkin and Jacqueline Nerguizian rings, a Melinda Marie cuff and a Maison Scotch belt; and lastly, Julianne poses in A-Morir sunglasses wearing a Pierre Balmain shirt and shorts, a Melinda Maria pyramid bangle and Lynn Ban square bangles.

Check out this excerpt from her interview:

GLAMOUR: There’s a scene in the movie where Tom Cruise holds your breast. What was that like?

JH: That was my first scene with him! I was nervous as all get-out, but after every take he high-fived me and was like, “That was awesome.” At one point on the movie, I got really hurt—I tweaked my neck and was in so much pain. And everyone was pressuring me to keep shooting, but Tom came in and said, “No, this is what insurance is for, Julianne. You have the rest of your career. You need to take care of yourself!” And I thought, Tom Cruise cares about me! Now I can cry.

GLAMOUR: What kind of prep did you have to do?

JH: Diego [Boneta] and I were known as the kids on the set. It was kind of a rock-star camp. We did vocal lessons every day. We had dance lessons. We had Rollerblading lessons. It was fun to be able to go back and be coached.

GLAMOUR: Are you competitive?

JH: Yes, about everything. It gets silly. Ryan and I are very alike. When we work out with a trainer, we’ll die before we stop, like, to the point where we can’t breathe.

GLAMOUR: Is the age difference between you two an issue? You’re 24, and he’s 37.

JH: No, but he’s always joking about it.

GLAMOUR: How did you meet?

JH: Well, when I first came to L.A., someone actually tried to set us up, but I was engaged to someone else, a guy I knew from Utah who had served a Mormon mission.

GLAMOUR: What happened with that?

JH: He was a great guy—I’d known him since I was nine. But I needed to figure myself out more, and so I moved to L.A. and we ended it. And actually, he ended up marrying my childhood best friend, and now they have a kid together. It was a little weird when it happened, but they’re a great couple!

GLAMOUR: So did you date Ryan soon after?

JH: I had another boyfriend, Chuck Wicks, whom I met on Dancing With the Stars. While we were dating, we went on Ryan’s radio show together. The interview’s on YouTube, and I blush when I hear it because Ryan is hitting on me the entire time! At the end, Ryan said something like, “You guys really have something special!” And I thought to myself, He’s so full of s–t right now! When Chuck and I broke up, I wanted to be single. That lasted five months. Then Ryan and I went on a date.

GLAMOUR: What drew you to him?

JH: I think it’s that similarity I was talking about before. We both like that perfection in ourselves, and we want to make our relationship like that.

GLAMOUR: Do you miss dancing?

JH: Oh my gosh, yes, just for the sheer fact that I could eat whatever I wanted and didn’t have to go to the gym.

GLAMOUR: You’ve been working pretty much nonstop since you landed Dancing With the Stars.

JH: I’m a very anxious person. If I’m not working, I go crazy. I’ve been lucky in my career. But if I lost everything tomorrow—and had no money—I would somehow make it work. I have that survivor mentality because of a lot of stuff that went on in a previous life. I feel like I’ve had four lives.

Inside This Issue

No one thought Project Runway would last, let alone change the face of fashion, but with it’s ninth season launching this summer Heidi Klum’s career is staying strong. In Glamour’s August issue, available on newsstands and digitally (iPad and Barnes & Noble Nook Color) nationwide on July 5, Heidi shares thoughts on her career, personal life and style.

Check out a sneak peek at what Heidi shared with Glamour:

On the longevity of Project Runway… “I’m going to be 80, walking with a stick down the runway.”

On being the aggressor in a relationship… “I’m not someone who plays hard to get. This whole thing about ‘Oh, let’s exchange numbers’ and then people wait four or five days before they call you? I don’t see the point. If you feel something, why would you let that pass? You only live once.”

On keeping things alive in the bedroom… “There’s nothing wrong with a nice garter belt. I’m not saying you have to put up a pole in your bedroom and start swinging off the rafters. But I love that sometimes!”

On when she finds hubby Seal the hottest… “Always. He’s even hot when he’s sleeping. He’s a beautiful man. He’s kind, he’s a gentleman, and I watched him last night onstage, and he still rocks it. I’m like, “Yeah, that’s my man!”

On whether Tim Gunn ever gives her style advice… “He hasn’t. He’s so polite—he would never say, ‘Why are you wearing that?’ Michael [Kors] is a little bit more…well, he always jokes with me. He says that my skirts are really short. He calls it fallopian length. He teases me.”

Glamour Magazine: January Covergirl Reese Witherspoon

7 Dec

Photographed in Los Angeles by Ellen von Unwerth, Witherspoon graces the cover in a Burberry Prorsum dress, Shery Shabani for Fragments necklace, Neil Lane bracelet and Fogal fishnets. Inside the issue she is seen in a L’Wren Scott jacket, Kain Label tank, Stella McCartney bra and Current/Elliot jeans, as well as a Giles dress, Shery Shabani for Fragments necklace, Swarovski bangle, Janis by Janis Scott bracelet and Christian Louboutin shoes.

Check out the full photo spread here. The issue is available on the Glamour app (iPhone, iPad and iTouch), the new B&N Nook Color and newsstands nationwide Tuesday, Dec. 7. Here’s a peak at her interview inside this issue:

On how getting older makes her feel sexier…

“I think as a woman, you get older, you feel more confident in your sexuality. You’re not as intimidated by it, not as embarrassed by it. Sexuality and femininity is an accumulation of age and wisdom and comfort in your own skin. I feel better—so much better now than I ever did in my twenties. I am calmer; I know who I am. And as a result, I feel much sexier.”

On women in Hollywood…

“There’s always going to be somebody younger or sexier. That’s why I like to say, and it’s become my famous line, ‘Funny doesn’t sag.’”

On having more kids…

“I would love to have more kids. Kids are the best part of my day. I don’t wake up to make movies. I wake up to hang out with my family.”

On how her goals have changed since making Legally Blonde

“My ambition has sort of broadened. I’m more interested in literature, art, public policy. And I’m really interested in doing more philanthropic endeavors.”

On her life…

“I’m really, really lucky. I’ve got a lot of love in my life. I’ve got great friends. I have two great kids whom I make pancakes for every Sunday. I’m very blessed.”

On making romantic comedies…

“I love romantic comedies. I watch them all the time. I love all my fellow female romantic comedy queens, like Jennifer Aniston, Jennifer Garner and Katie Heigl. I also think that the questions romantic comedies ask about men and women are universal.”
